A 16-year-old boy was stabbed and wounded during a clash near his Bronx high school Wednesday, police sources said.
The teen was stabbed in the abdomen across the street from the John F. Kennedy educational campus on Terrace View Ave. near W. 230th St. about 8:45 a.m., the sources said.
The teen is a student at the school and was on his way to class when he was attacked, a school safety source said. The teen was able to run into the school and ask for help.
Responding cops rushed him to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Allen, where he’s expected to recover.
A teen was taken into custody at the scene, but it wasn’t clear if he is facing charges.
“Violence has no place in our schools or our communities,” said Jenna Lyle, a spokeswoman for the public schools. “This morning, after a nonschool-related incident outside of the building, on the perimeter of campus, our outstanding school staff provided the necessary supports, and NYPD responded.”
